Astro Debugging

Purpose

Debug Astro failures systematically: classify the failure (build, runtime, hydration, environment), reproduce it minimally, isolate the cause, fix at the source, and verify the fix against the reproduction.

When to Use

Activate when the task involves:

• a failing build (type errors, prerender errors, integration errors)
• runtime errors on server-rendered pages
• islands that fail to hydrate or throw in the browser
• behavior that differs between dev, preview, and production
• error messages that are unclear or misleading
