Purpose

Add client-side navigation to an Astro site: View Transitions for animated, SPA-like page changes, and prefetch for instant navigation — without introducing a client-side router.

When to Use

Activate when the task involves:

• smooth page transition animations
• enabling link prefetching
• controlling which elements animate during navigation
• preserving islands/state across navigations
• deciding whether a full client router is needed (it usually is not)
