Astro Routing

Purpose

Design and implement the URL structure of an Astro site: file-based routes, dynamic segments, rest parameters, static generation of dynamic paths, redirects, rewrites, and error pages — with route precedence and static-vs-server behavior accounted for.

When to Use

Activate when the task involves:

• routes, pages, or URL structure
• dynamic routes, slugs, or catch-all patterns
• getStaticPaths and static generation of dynamic URLs
• Astro.params and request-time parameters
• redirects (config or Astro.redirect)
• rewrites (Astro.rewrite, rewrites config)
• 404 pages and route precedence
• trailing slash configuration
• localized routes (with astro-i18n)
