LangChain and LlamaIndex on Azure SQL Database

Both frameworks connect to this engine on the first try and then get three things wrong that the connection test cannot show. This is not a text to SQL tutorial and not a vector search reference.

Measured 2026-08-28 by installing the packages, reading what ships, and running every statement below against a local Azure SQL Database container (SERVERPROPERTY('EngineEdition') returns 5). Every argument name was re-checked 2026-09-03 against the LangChain and LlamaIndex reference documentation. The pinned versions move fast, so re-run the reference file before trusting one.
