Validate data after SQL migration
When to Use
- Validate schema or data after a SQL Server migration target is online.
- Compare source and target table inventories, row counts, schemas, or content.
Validate a completed SQL Server database migration against its source without changing data, schema, configuration, security, or database state on either side. This skill supports Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VM targets.
Use this skill only after the migration skill reports that the target database is online. Migration completion and validation completion are separate states.
