PWA on Next.js App Router
For Workbox, Vite, or framework-agnostic caching strategy, use a general PWA guide. This one is about Next.js App Router specifics and about why the install button does not show up, which is where most of the time gets burned.
Read this first: two install paths, not one
This single distinction causes most wasted cycles. Chrome has two ways to install, with different requirements:
