Mobbin Design Research

Use the Mobbin MCP tools to ground design decisions in real product examples. Treat the returned screens as research inputs, not templates to copy blindly.

Workflow

1. Translate the request into a concrete pattern, platform, industry, and user state. Preserve the user's constraints and style guide.
2. Search broadly enough to compare several relevant shipped products. Refine the query when results mix unrelated flows.
3. Inspect the strongest examples and identify repeated patterns, meaningful differences, and likely tradeoffs.
4. Synthesize the evidence into recommendations for the user's product. Explain why a pattern fits the current context instead of merely listing screenshots.
5. Attribute examples to the product and platform shown by Mobbin, and distinguish observed details from your inference.

Guardrails

• Prefer recent and contextually similar examples, but include a contrasting approach when it clarifies the decision.
• Do not imply that popularity proves usability or that a visual pattern is universally correct.
• Do not reproduce a product's branded screen verbatim. Adapt structure and interaction principles to the user's own system.
• If Mobbin is unavailable or requires authorization, report that directly and state what research could not be completed.
