anti-ai-slop — a filter for AI coding agents.

Use this whenever generating or building any interface, copy, or code. The goal: the result should feel chosen by a person for this product, not "default AI taste". Before starting, ask the user (in their chat language) when it applies: during the work, or after it is done. Do not start until they answer.

What slop actually is

AI slop is not any single technique. A gradient is not slop. A card grid is not slop. Inter is not slop.

Slop is the unmarked combination of generic defaults that repeat because nobody made a decision:

No hierarchy + no specificity + no restraint + no opinion.

Two tests separate a choice from a default:

1. Purpose test — can you write one honest sentence explaining why this technique serves this product?
2. Convergence test — does the same technique appear across unrelated screens for no reason?
