The bundled script check_freshness.py makes HTTP requests to fetch external web pages and schemas (strk20-by-example.org, GitHub raw files, npm, and wallet specs) which contain arbitrary text, but this is an active fetch initiated by a helper script rather than automated continuous monitoring of an outsider-posting feed.
