Rubric rewrite
Define good before revising.
Steps
-
Identify artifact, audience, purpose, constraints, and facts that must stay unchanged. Use supplied context before asking for more.
-
Choose a small observable rubric: for example, concrete benefit, supported claims, clear order, and appropriate length. Explain tradeoffs if criteria conflict.
-
Inspect user-provided or publicly available exemplars for structure and technique. Extract principles, not whole sentences or an imitation of a living author's distinctive voice. Do not invent experts or examples.
-
Revise the draft against the rubric. Preserve meaning and attribution; flag unsupported claims instead of making them more persuasive.
-
Give a brief criterion-by-criterion check and stop after one useful revision unless the user asks for another. Avoid polishing a draft away from its actual audience.
Output
Revised draft | material changes | short rubric check | unresolved factual questions.
