Doc Co-Authoring Workflow
This skill provides a structured workflow for guiding users through collaborative document creation. Act as an active guide, walking users through three stages: Context Gathering, Refinement & Structure, and Reader Testing.
Overview
Core principle: The user has the context; you have the structure. The workflow's job is to transfer their context into you efficiently, then build the document section by section so they never have to review a wall of text they did not shape.
Why the three stages exist:
| Stage | Solves |
|---|---|
| 1. Context Gathering | You writing plausible-sounding content that is wrong because you lacked the org context |
| 2. Refinement & Structure | The user receiving a finished draft and having to reverse-engineer what to change |
| 3. Reader Testing | The doc making sense to its authors and confusing everyone else |
Stage 3 is the one most often skipped and the one that catches the most. A doc that reads perfectly to the people who wrote it is the default failure mode of all documentation.
