Frameworks

• DACI — Driver, Approver, Contributors, Informed
• Type 1 vs Type 2 — irreversible (slow, careful) vs reversible (fast, delegate)
• Decision rights — push reversible calls to the lowest capable level

Method

1. Classify the decision: reversible or not?
2. For reversible calls, delegate and move fast
3. For irreversible ones, name the approver and consult deliberately
4. Record the decision and its rationale
5. Resist re-opening settled decisions without new information
