• Workstreams — each milestone broken into tasks

• Dates — start, due, and any hard external date
• Definition of done — the exit condition for each task
• Sequence — order set by dependencies, not preference

Method

1. Decompose each milestone to tasks under ~1 week each
2. Assign a single owner per task (shared ownership is no ownership)
3. Sequence by dependency, then level against capacity
4. Write a definition of done so "finished" isn't subjective

Best Practices

• The plan is a forecast, not a contract — update it
• Track the critical path harder than everything else
• Make blockers a standing agenda item
