panschema
A universal CLI for schema conversion, documentation, and verification — pandoc for data modeling. One schema in, many artifacts out.
Input file → Reader → LinkML IR → Writer → Output
Readers cover OWL/Turtle and LinkML YAML. Writers cover HTML docs, the RDF/OWL family, graph JSON, Rust, Postgres DDL, SHACL, JSON Schema and OpenAPI. Any reader pairs with any writer.
The IR itself is a library, panschema-model on crates.io: the schema
model, its inheritance resolution, the LinkML YAML reader, the instance
model, and the IRIs every projection mints. A Rust tool that needs to
reason over a schema or a dataset should depend on that crate rather than
shelling out to the CLI and parsing an output — and never re-derive the
model by reading a projection back in.
