diagram-brief

Turn "I need a visual for this" into a decision-ready brief and a format choice. Coding agents default to a Mermaid flowchart for everything and to twenty boxes when nine would do; this skill exists to fix the two decisions that happen before any drawing: what is the one thing the visual must say, and which medium the destination can actually show. The brief is the contract the draw skills execute and the reviewer checks fidelity against.

When NOT to use

• The format is already named ("mermaid sequence diagram", "SVG social card") → mermaid-draw or illustration-draw directly; they write a 3-line quick brief.
• Reviewing, critiquing, or fixing an existing diagram → diagram-review.
• Slide decks, dashboards, data charts, icons, brand illustration → out of scope (the router still names the handoff).
