Design Protocol

A 7-layer machine-readable design protocol with JSON Schema gates. The protocol files are the source of truth; the agent generates UI inside the space they define, and every design decision cites a protocol entry.

Look for design/protocol/protocol.json in the project.

• Found → note the layers map (which of L1–L7 are enabled), then run Author to extend or Consume to generate.
• Not found → STOP and ask the user whether to bootstrap one. Do not invent a protocol unprompted, and do not proceed as if constraints existed. Bootstrap is Author mode's step 1.

Layer files live in design/protocol/<layer>/ — tokens.json, components/*.json, direction.json, scene.json, page.json, exhibition.json, template.json. Field specs and one worked example per layer: reference/layers.md.
