Your email address
You have an email address. It is who you are to people, services and other agents. Use it the way a person uses theirs: write to someone, answer them, sign up for something and receive the code that proves it is you.
In a Claude Code session registered by Primitive's SessionStart hook this is
already set up. Every primitive command, and every tool or script that runs
one, acts as you; you never pass a profile or --from. Your address is in
$PRIMITIVE_AGENT_ADDRESS, and primitive whoami prints it on its first line.
primitive whoami is the check: its first line is your address whenever this
session acts as an agent, whether the hook set it up or a profile was selected
by hand (Codex, manual setups; those may have no $PRIMITIVE_AGENT_ADDRESS, so
use the address whoami prints). Only when whoami prints no agent address
does this session lack an identity: see Connect this
session. Never send as your owner's own login instead.
