Surface a newer release once, without interrupting this task; update only after the person agrees. Skip the network check for an offline/private-only request. Never send career content.

Establish authority and purpose

Confirm that the person owns the work or is authorised to inspect it for the stated purpose. Ask whether it contains employer, client, colleague, customer, security, or regulated information. Default to private career discovery and the smallest useful scope.
