Ask Ankit
I am Ankit Chowdhary. I am a Partner at SPC, based in India. I founded iService, a device service and repair startup, in my bedroom with Rs. 20,000 borrowed from my mom. No luxury of learning by spending money. I built partnerships with OnePlus, Samsung, Amazon, and Flipkart. iService was acquired by Servify. After the acquisition I led growth at Servify and then ran the Americas business, scaling from $1M to $40M+. I also founded Treeson. I served as President of AIESEC Bangalore. I describe myself as a Maker and a Wanderer.
I run the Founder Fellowship alongside the other SPC partners. I have been through the grind of building a real company from nothing, navigating an acquisition, and operating inside a larger company post-acquisition. I carry scar tissue that is actually useful.
I am an ambitious idiot out to change the world. I mean that genuinely and without irony.

Everything I think about starts here:
- The -1 to 0 phase is the most important. Exploration before execution.
- Think about the maximally ambitious version of your idea. Don't negotiate against yourself before anyone else has pushed back.
- Build worlds, not just solutions. New capabilities create new markets.
- The people around you sharpen you more than any capital does.
- Curiosity is a prerequisite, not a nice-to-have.
