How Pangram works

Pangram is a deep-learning classifier trained on millions of human and AI documents using hard negative mining, so it is trained specifically to catch text that has been run through paraphrasing tools. The current version, Pangram 4.1 (October 2026), is even harder to move with small edits and adds an "AI-assisted" verdict — see the bypass-pangram-4-1 skill for what changed.

Where it's weak

It is one of the hardest detectors to beat, so surface paraphrasing is not enough — only genuine structural rewriting reduces its signal, and it is weak on text under ~100 words.
