tmux workflows

Use tmux when a command must remain available alongside Pi instead of occupying an agent tool invocation. This skill covers two cases:

  1. Development servers and watchers — place them in an adaptive control area without repeatedly shrinking Pi's pane.
  2. Interactive sessions — create a persistent, suitably sized pane for commands that require the operator to respond, including SSH host-key confirmation, MFA, and sudo passwords.

When to use this skill

Use this skill when Pi is running in a tmux client and the requested work needs either:

  • a long-running development server, preview server, test watcher, or similar process visible alongside Pi; or
  • a persistent interactive terminal where the operator must respond directly, such as an SSH login, host-key confirmation, MFA prompt, or sudo password prompt.

When not to use this skill
