Generate media with Splice

Connect the Splice MCP server at https://splice.film.fun/api/mcp (OAuth sign-in, or Authorization: Bearer sk_… from https://splice.film.fun/dashboard/api-keys). Without MCP, use the REST API under https://splice.film.fun/api/agents/* with the same key (reference: https://splice.film.fun/llms-full.txt).

Steps

Production. Call list_productions and pick one, or omit production_id to use the default. Keep the production_id each result returns.
Model and price. Call list_models with type = image, video, voice, music or sfx. is_default marks the default; the price is in credits (100 credits = $1 on the Starter pack). Video is per_second: duration × rate, and variants give per-resolution rates.
Generate.
- Image: generate_image {prompt, aspect_ratio?, model?, reference_images?}.
- Video: generate_video {prompt, duration?, aspect_ratio?, resolution?, first_frame_image?}. Describe subject, action and camera movement. Model-specific settings go in parameters.
- Voice: generate_voice {text, parameters: {voice…}}.
- Music: generate_music {prompt?, lyrics?}.
- REST: POST https://splice.film.fun/api/agents/generate/{image|video|voice|music|sfx} returns 201 {production_item_id, production_id}.
Poll get_job {job_id, production_id} until completed. Images take 5-30 s, video 1-5 minutes.
Hand back the media_url. The result is also in the user's Splice library.
