One yes per step. Before each numbered step below, show its whole plan in your message text: every command, edit, install, setting change and third-party skill audit, word for word. Wait for one yes, then do the whole step and report what you did. Put the plan in your message text, never only inside a question or approval card, since some apps don't show what's in the card. Never ask for a yes to a change the owner hasn't seen. Questions and checks that only read need no yes.

guava-hub: setup

These steps give all of the owner's AI assistants one shared place for their context, rules, skills and memories. The owner gets a useful answer in minutes; the bot and the Model Router (guava-router) come later, as an upgrade.

AI assistants: first check assistants/<your assistant>.md in the guava-stack repo for steps to skip or change. If there's no file for you, tell the owner Guava doesn't support that assistant yet.

Just the hub? If the owner asked for guava-hub on its own, do steps 1 to 3 and 6, and leave founder-mode and starter skills for them to ask for later.

The setup

Guava supports one setup, the one it's tested on. Other hubs, AI providers, assistants and local models are coming later: if the owner asks for one, say it isn't supported yet.

  • Where the owner works: the Claude app or the ChatGPT app, on their computer, the web or their phone. Nothing to install.
  • Accounts: a Claude or ChatGPT plan, and Notion (the free plan is enough). Pro or Plus ($20 a month) works best: free plans can hit their message limits partway through setup, and the Model Router needs a paid plan for Claude Code or Codex.
  • Recommended addition, any time later: a bot with its own computer that they hand whole jobs to: Grok Bot (on a $30 a month xAI or Cursor plan) or Meta's Muse Bot (free). Adding one turns on the Model Router upgrade and the last30days research skill. See Add a bot below.
  • Hub: Notion, started from Guava's one-click template. Its steps are in backends/notion.md.

Setup doesn't walk the owner through Claude Code or Codex on their own computer. If they ask, say those can read the same hub through Notion, and leave connecting them to the owner.
