Email drafter

Most email is read on a phone, in a preview pane, between other things. The reader decides from the subject line and the first two lines whether to act now, act later, or never. So an email that wants an answer has to put the answer it wants at the top. Context goes after the ask, for the reader who needs it, rather than before it, where it delays every reader.

The second job is tone, and tone comes from the relationship: a first email to a stranger, a quick one to a close colleague, and a hard message to a client are different emails even with the same ask. This skill drafts for both: what the email must accomplish and who is reading it.
