Stock Direction Signals

When To Use

Use this skill when a user asks for a directional stock read, such as whether a ticker looks bullish, bearish, or mixed over a short or medium horizon.

Use it for MAG7 names, semiconductor and AI-infrastructure stocks, tokenized-stock watchlists, or index proxies like SPY and QQQ when the requested output needs live market context plus social or news sentiment.

Do not use this skill for trade execution, portfolio advice, or any request that should place an order. This skill only gathers paid data and synthesizes a research brief.

Workflow

  1. Normalize the request into ticker, company, twitter_query, reddit_query, horizon, and optional peer tickers. Preserve the user's ticker exactly, but expand common company names into likely tickers when obvious.

  2. Start with the lowest-cost market core from Alpha Vantage MPP: global quote, daily or intraday time series, and technical indicators. Use RSI, MACD, SMA or EMA, and BBANDS when the user asks for chart context, trend, momentum, or support/resistance.

  3. Add catalysts and fundamentals from Alpha Vantage MPP when the request needs why, earnings risk, valuation context, or event interpretation. Prefer news-sentiment, earnings, earnings-call-transcript, income-statement, balance-sheet, and cash-flow.

  4. Pull SELAT-native Twitter data for market chatter. Use advanced search for ticker cashtags, company names, product themes, competitor mentions, and sector narratives. Treat this as raw evidence; the model must score tone, intensity, recency, and engagement quality.
