SUSPICIOUS. The core validation workflow is coherent, but the telemetry design is not fully trustworthy: it performs outbound POSTs to a locally configured arbitrary Convex URL, and the preamble can send a startup event before the user is prompted about telemetry. This is not confirmed malware, but the remote data flow is broader and less controlled than the stated purpose requires.
