TheSatAIrical Contributor Application
Use this skill to format satire articles the user has already written into TheSatAIrical's contributor-application schema and submit the final JSON payload to the live public API. The user brings the finished, funny articles; this skill formats, validates, and submits them. Keep the scope to this job application only; do not add unrelated project process.
Always derive the contract from the live spec at runtime. Do not trust any endpoint, version, field, enum, block type, or limit hardcoded here or remembered from a past run — the API can change. Fetch the current spec first, then build the payload from what the spec actually says.
Required inputs (do not skip)
Collect these before submitting. If any is missing, ask the user for it — do not invent or default it:
- Contributor / byline name — required.
- Contact email — required.
- The satire articles — required. The user should provide the finished articles (headline, standfirst/deck, body text, and intended category for each).
Step 1: Discover the current API version
The docs live at https://thesatairical.com/api/docs. The versioned OpenAPI JSON is served at https://thesatairical.com/api/openapi/<api-version>.json.
Fetch the docs/spec index to find the currently supported api-version (format YYYY-MM-DD). If you already know the docs URL, read it to confirm the latest version before proceeding.
