Price Intel

Pricing decisions made in a vacuum — without visibility into what competitors are doing — almost always end in two failure modes: you leave money on the table by underpricing, or you trigger a discount war that compresses margins across the whole category. Price Intel gives TikTok Shop sellers, Amazon merchants, and multi-channel ecommerce operators a structured framework for monitoring competitor pricing movements, decoding their discount patterns and promotional calendars, and identifying bundle or value-add strategies that let you compete on perceived value rather than raw price. The goal is smarter positioning, not a race to the bottom.

Use when

  • You sell in a TikTok Shop category (beauty, health, home, accessories) where competitors have recently dropped prices by 15% or more and you want to understand whether this is a temporary promotional tactic, a cost restructuring signal, or a permanent repositioning before deciding how to respond.
  • You are planning a flash sale or big platform event (like a 9.9, 11.11, or Black Friday promotion on Shopee or Amazon) and need to benchmark your discount depth and bundle structure against the top 5 competitors in your category to ensure your deal is compelling without being unnecessarily deep.
  • You notice your conversion rate has dropped over the past three weeks and want to analyze whether competitor price changes, new low-cost entrants, or shifted bundle packaging in your niche is the root cause.
  • You are launching a new SKU and need to set its price point by mapping the current competitive landscape — including anchor prices, floor prices, bundle prices, and premium positioning — across TikTok Shop, Amazon, and Shopee.
  • You manage pricing for a brand with 10 or more SKUs and want to run a quarterly competitive pricing audit to identify which products are overpriced relative to the market and which are undervalued and could absorb a margin increase.

What this skill does

Price Intel guides you through a structured competitive pricing analysis by processing the pricing data and observations you supply about competitors, then outputting a multi-layered intelligence report. It organizes competitor pricing into four categories: everyday pricing (their base list price), promotional pricing (frequency and depth of discounts), bundle and multi-unit pricing (how they use quantity deals or accessory bundles to increase AOV), and perceived value positioning (how pricing relates to their review count, imagery quality, and content strategy). For each competitor observed, the skill identifies behavioral patterns — for example, whether a competitor discounts heavily on weekends, anchors with inflated original prices, or uses free-shipping thresholds strategically. It then maps these patterns against your own pricing to surface specific opportunities: where you can safely raise prices, where you need to justify your premium more explicitly, and which bundle or value-add structures are working in your category that you are not currently using.
