IMSA Data Analysis Skill

Purpose

Analyze racing data from the DuckDB database covering IMSA WeatherTech (2021-2026), WEC (2025), and ELMS (2025). Provides insights into lap times, driver performance, team comparisons, weather impacts, chassis performance, and race strategies.

Series and Classes

• IMSA: GTP (LMDh), LMP2, LMP3, GTD, GTDPRO, GTLM (discontinued), DPi (discontinued)
• WEC: HYPERCAR (LMH + LMDh), LMP2, LMGT3
• ELMS: LMP2, LMP3, LMGT3

Chassis Data

Every lap includes chassis, homologation, and manufacturer columns:

• homologation: LMDh, LMH, DPi, LMP2, LMP3, GTE, GT3
• Use homologation to compare like-for-like cars across series (e.g., all LMDh cars)
• Use manufacturer for brand-level analysis (Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, etc.)
