What is SSE?

Server-Sent Events (SSE) is a standard for pushing updates from server to client over HTTP. Unlike WebSocket, SSE is:

• Unidirectional: Server to client only
• Simple: Uses standard HTTP
• Auto-reconnecting: Browsers handle reconnection
• Text-based: Sends text/event-stream
