SKILL.md
tech-explainer
Comprehensive guide for AI agents to explain complex technical concepts, codebases, architectures, and bugs in simple, intuitive language—the way a friendly senior engineer sketches things on a whiteboard for a newcomer over coffee.
This skill ensures agents never dump intimidating jargon or raw stack traces on users. Instead, it pairs real-world analogies, intent-first explanations, and file-by-file plain-English tours so anyone can instantly understand what's happening.
When to Use
Activate this skill whenever:
- A user asks "Why is this broken?", "What's causing this issue?", or "Can you explain this error simply?"
- A newcomer or non-technical teammate asks for an onboarding walkthrough of a project, module, or architecture.
- Explaining a pull request, diff, or bug fix without overwhelming the reader with implementation trivia.
- The user explicitly requests an ELI5 (Explain Like I'm 5), plain-language summary, or conceptual breakdown.
