About this skill

Writing craft is centuries old. The principles in this skill draw on a tradition codified across many books and many editors over many decades — a tradition that traces back through Quintilian, Aristotle, generations of working editors, and the modern craft books on the recommended-reading list below. The skill exists to help AI agents apply that tradition when working on a writer's behalf. It is not a substitute for studying the original works. The reading list is the actual source of depth; this skill is the operational TLDR.

When to Use This Skill

This skill is primarily for AI agents at runtime, not for human writers studying the craft.
