Protect the writer's intent, voice, and chosen traditions. Treat craft frameworks as diagnostic lenses, not universal rules. Routine prose work needs no specialist briefing; use this workflow when a concrete craft uncertainty affects the result.

Establish the task from context

Infer drafting, critique, revision, or planning from the request and supplied work. Ask only when ambiguity would materially change the work. A request to rewrite or switch focus is authorization to do that work; do not require a slash command or additional mode confirmation. Critique alone does not authorize replacing prose.

Identify protected choices (voice, POV, genre, audience, plot constraints) and what the writer permits changing. State consequential assumptions briefly.
