Reversibility rank

A round of recommendations arrives flat: every item reads as equally weighty. This skill answers the one question that decides which deserve a second look — which of these would be a pain to change later? — and answers nothing else. An item is sticky, conditional, or trivial by the reversibility test alone; the note comes out in one fixed shape, and a round with nothing sticky comes out as one sentence. The round is whatever list is in front of you, handed over by another skill or pasted.

The round

Closing grill-me or grill-with-docs, the round is that skill's recommendations and the note is its last step. Closing adr-shape, the round is the ADR's numbered decisions, ranked before its status is set so a sticky decision gets one more look while it is still a draft. Invoked alone — none of those skills installed, or a list from somewhere else: a vendor proposal, a colleague's plan, a PR description — the list the user pasted is the round. The steps are the same in every case; only the list's source differs.

1. Number the list

Take the round as it stands. When its items are already numbered or named, those numbers or names are the ones the note uses. When they are not, number them 1..N in the order given. Done when every item has the label the note will cite it by.

2. Test every item

Apply the reversibility test to each item in turn and mark it sticky, conditional, or trivial — with the kind of stickiness for the sticky ones, and the event as well for the conditional ones. The honesty rules govern every marking. Done when every item carries a mark.

3. Write the note

Emit the note in the shape below and stop; when no item is marked sticky or conditional, emit the one sentence of the empty round instead. Done when the note is the whole reply: no restated recommendations, no preamble, nothing after the last deep-dive.
