Research

Answer the questions the user cannot — with evidence. Research lives in research/<topic>/ as a standing, reusable asset: topics are independent of roadmap items, one topic can inform many items, one item can draw on many topics. tailrocks-plan later consumes vetted chapters instead of re-researching.

Two invocation shapes:

• A question ("how to build a pure-Rust macOS app, no Swift") → research that question deeply.
• A roadmap slug → research the item outward: what its shape misses, what the referenced world offers, which genuinely different directions exist — each direction with evidence and trade-offs, none chosen. Choosing is the user's, via tailrocks-record-decision.
