Checking a claim against a source that was actually queried.
What to check
Claims that reference something outside this repository, and only those. Verifying obvious facts spends the budget that the checkable claims needed.
- API behavior: signatures, return types, parameters.
- Configuration: options, defaults, valid values.
- Recommended usage: patterns attributed to official documentation.
- Deprecation: status and the replacement.
- Compatibility: version requirements.
- Complexity or performance claims attributed to a source.
- Security recommendations and vulnerability information.
- Standard compliance: "follows WCAG 2.1 AA", "per the spec".
Version-specific claims are the highest-value target: "in version N, X behaves like Y" is either right for that version or wrong for every version, and recall cannot tell the two apart.
