test-effort-estimation
Overview
A test effort estimate is a probability distribution over hours. Reporting it as one number destroys the only information that makes it useful: how wide the distribution is, and what has to stay true for it to hold.
This skill produces three things per epic:
- A per-area, per-layer effort range computed with the PERT three-point method.
- A ledger of named assumptions the ranges depend on.
- A recommended split of which role owns which layer of the work.
