Yapper UGC Video Formats (Ugly Ads)
15 lofi, TikTok-native video formats for Yapper-style ads. These formats are designed to have a raw, imperfect aesthetic that builds credibility and trust with viewers. The goal is to create content that feels like a real person sharing their unfiltered thoughts, not a polished advertisement.
How to Use These Formats
- Embrace the "Idea + Freestyle" Brief: Instead of a rigid script, provide the creator with a core idea and a set of talking points. The goal is to guide them, not to dictate their every word. This allows their genuine personality to shine through.
- Prioritize Authenticity Over Production: Avoid professional tripods, slick editing, and background music. The best Yapper ads are often filmed handheld, with minimal cuts, and in a setting that is believable for the product.
- Avoid the "Middle Ground": Ads fail when they try to look organic but contain obvious production elements. Either go for a "super ugly" and raw aesthetic or a high-production, direct-response ad. This skill focuses on the former.
- Use the Talking Points: For each format, use the Talking Points to build a loose narrative. These are suggestions to keep the creator on track while allowing for spontaneous, unscripted moments.
