Writing Ticks
Audit prose for signs commonly associated with AI-generated writing and turn the findings into concrete editorial fixes.
This skill is not an AI detector. It must never claim that text was written by AI based on style alone. Treat the output as an editorial risk review: "this reads AI-ish because..." not "this is AI."
Use When
- The user asks whether text sounds AI-written, generic, robotic, slop-like, or too ChatGPT-ish.
- The user asks to remove AI tells from their own writing.
- The user asks for a prose audit before publishing, sending, submitting, or posting.
- The text contains overly polished, generic, promotional, or templated prose and needs specific edits.
Do Not Use When
- The user wants to prove authorship or accuse someone of using AI.
- The user asks to evade academic, legal, hiring, or platform detection dishonestly.
- The task is pure copyediting with no concern about AI-style tells.
- The text needs factual verification more than style review. In that case, use a source-checking workflow first.
