Competitive Intel Brief
Track what competitors are actually doing — product releases, pricing changes, messaging shifts, funding, hiring signals — and frame the findings against Tiger Data's current positioning. This is an external intelligence layer for the Product Marketing team.
This skill is distinct from weekly-intel-digest (internal deal context) and community-signal-digest (community conversations). Competitive Intel Brief answers: "What did our competitors do this week that we need to know about?"
When to use this skill
- "Run the competitive brief" or "competitor update"
- "What are our competitors doing?"
- "What did [competitor] do this week/month?"
- "Competitive scan" or "competitive landscape"
- "Check on [competitor]"
- Before a product launch, pricing change, or quarterly review
Step 0: Pre-flight check
Read REFERENCES.md from the plugin root and run the pre-flight check described there. Call list_marketing_references() to verify Tiger Den is reachable. If it fails or the tool is not found, STOP — do not continue. Follow the error handling in REFERENCES.md.

Use this skill when the user asks for CRO, landing page feedback, conversion advice, CTA improvements, hero rewrites, bounce or drop-off analysis, or wants recommendations based on Clarity exports, screenshots, or a live page URL. Also trigger when the user mentions 'conversion rate,' 'page performance,' 'why isn't this page converting,' 'CTA audit,' 'hero section feedback,' 'friction analysis,' 'landing page review,' or 'page optimization.' For signup or registration flow issues, use a dedicated signup-flow-cro skill if one exists. For production edits, hand off to website-content-editor or page-mockup-builder.

Evaluate marketing content drafts against Tiger Data's quality rubrics. Use this skill whenever someone asks to review, evaluate, critique, or give feedback on a blog post, article, white paper, tutorial, or any written marketing content. Also trigger when someone pastes a draft and asks 'how does this look?', 'is this ready?', 'what would you change?', or similar. If someone shares a draft and doesn't explicitly ask for a review but the content is clearly a work-in-progress, offer to run it through the rubric. This is the quality gate — use it before anything gets published.
