AnomalySecurityThe code is primarily a cloud-storage upload utility. No clear malware or intentional backdoor is present. The main security issue is direct disclosure of credential-service credentials through print output. Additional risks are broad recursive directory uploads, automatic loading of a root-level dotenv file, configurable credential-service redirection, and long-lived signed URLs. These risks warrant remediation, especially removing credential printing and constraining uploaded paths and URL expiration.
The code is a straightforward file downloader and does not show clear malicious intent. It has meaningful security risks when exposed to untrusted input: unrestricted outbound requests can enable SSRF, and unsanitized custom filenames can permit path traversal or arbitrary file writes. The CLI also contains an undefined epilog variable that causes a runtime failure. Restrict URL destinations and schemes, validate redirects, enforce path containment with resolved paths, reject traversal and absolute filenames, and apply download size and integrity controls.
