The fragment implements legitimate privacy and retention functionality and contains no clear malware or supply-chain backdoor. It does contain meaningful privacy and access-control risks: DSAR responses include unredacted records, deletion and opt-out operations lack visible authorization checks, and PII hashes are optional-salt and truncated. Review the surrounding API authorization, enforce a required high-entropy salt, use a full-length digest or an appropriate keyed hashing design, and verify that archival storage is protected and compliant.
