handover
Handover
A handover starts another session, usually outside this one, to carry on the work: an orchestrator that builds an effort, or a fresh session that continues the thinking. Hand over at any point, from any session. The new session knows only what the repository holds, and it takes its starting prompt as the maintainer's go-ahead, so settle in the handoff every decision this session can. Once the new session has started, don't check on it: its deliverable, such as an orchestrator's pull request, is how the maintainer hears back.
The session that holds the context should put it to use before handing over. A thinking session writes its spec and tickets with /to-spec and /to-tickets before handover, otherwise handing over raw thinking leaves the next session to rebuild it. Hand an active session's work to a fresh one only when the maintainer asks for it.
